Distance Learning: College Students’ Perspectives Rochelle Matthews-Somerville, Bowie State University, MD This study examined relationships between student characteristics and perceptions of distance learning. One hundred thirty-one university education majors from 5 classes participated in this study. A self-report measure of factors that contribute to the successful implementation of online courses was administered. Analyses revealed that individual student characteristics were significantly related to perceptions of distance learning.
