You are eligible for AEQ Editor's letter of recommendation when you are evaluated for promotion, tenure or post-tenure review of tenured faculty at your college/university. AEQ work (Feature Editor, Reviewer or other editorial rank) offers evidence of commitment to service, i.e. you contributed successfully and continuously to the scholarship and creative activity of appropriate academic discipline... through uncompensated use of scholarly knowledge in e.g. the publication of an academic journal.
