Summer   2001 Volume 5, Issue 2
The publication of the Summer issue ( scheduled June 10th)
will be delayed by 1-3 months... one month, out July 11th. The delay has been caused
by publication selection dilemma, journal expansion to over 200 pages , and changes
in the editorial staff.
The Summer issue, even after expansion to 200 pages, can
accommodate only twenty eight articles. Ninety plus articles
were submitted. Thirty nine have qualified and all will be published.
However, eleven submissions in the later issues. The dilemma is which one?

Theme focus and Subject Editors
STUDENT: Student Perceptions, Beliefs, or Attitudes
Focus: This issue is devoted to manuscripts related to student perceptions
or beliefs, at any grade level, of the experience of learning in a
school setting. Papers may be reports of qualitative or quantitative
inquiry, explorations of ideas, reactions, or reflections. Creative
approaches to the study or discussion of student perceptions are
encouraged. The definition of "student perceptions or beliefs" is
very broad and can include perceptions of ability, of school climate,
of teachers' beliefs, or belief systems related to gender, class,
ethnicity, and a variety of variables. There are many possibilities in
terms of specific topics, so that authors should feel free to send a
brief summary of ideas or research for feedback prior to submitting the
entire paper.
